CeleraOne is the market leader for digital paid content solutions, identity management, and user segmentation. With our cutting-edge technology, CeleraOne supports publishers to monetize their digital content by implementing more than just a simple paywall.
CeleraOne was founded in Berlin in 2011. Today our team has grown to over 50 employees with a strong tech focus from 13 nations and more than 140 publisher websites are using our software such as Bild, Welt, Zeit Online, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Süddeutsche Zeitung amongst others.
We work closely with our clients to seamlessly integrate our products with their existing infrastructure. We implement paid content projects on time and budget and advise our customers on all aspects of our product and on overarching architectural issues.
The software is written in-house and is geared to the needs of news publishers in order to successfully support them in the sustainable monetization of digital content.
Our technology is built for performance, scalability and the reduction of operating costs. We integrate all communication channels between content-provider and end-user, connecting with conventional enterprise solutions and free valuable business information from data silos. In order to offer publishers a seamlessly functioning paid content solution, the processing of data is ensured in real-time and with high traffic volume.
The newspaper industry is struggling to survive in the course of digitization, as sales from print and print advertising are steadily falling. News publishers are increasingly faced with the question of how they can ensure a sustainable business model.
Their first attempt to compensate through pure online advertising mainly failed because high reach and page impressions are key. As only a few newspaper publishers can show these figures, digital subscription models have become a strong pillar for publishers.
We see the challenge digitalization poses for publishers. But at the same time the great opportunity.
At CeleraOne we strongly believe that journalistic work has a value and that newsreaders are willing or will be willing to pay for well-researched content. The trend is more and more towards digital subscriptions, and we support news publishers in this transformation.

Prior to founding CeleraOne, Moritz served as an algorithm engineer at TomTom developing and optimising routing algorithms and backend software systems. Before joining TomTom, Moritz conducted research in the field of combinatorial optimisation at TU Berlin. He holds several patents on accelerated route planning systems. Moritz has been programming since 1995 and started C++ development in 2005.
M.Sc. (International Management)
Prior to joining CeleraOne, York was responsible for Marketing, Sales and Customer Success at Sprylab – a software company offering a multichannel publishing solution for professional publishers globally. Before joining Sprylab, York worked for Capgemini as well as Deutsche Bahn in different management positions. He holds a French, English and German university degree in International Management from ESCP Europe.
Prior to joining CeleraOne, Sven served as team lead, project management at Immobilien Scout GmbH and as head of project management at VZ Networks. At the latter companies, he coordinated an IT project portfolio in an agile environment. Before joining VZ Networks he worked in classic project management for Assure Consulting, cross-industry throughout Germany. Sven was introduced to project management as a student worker for third-party funded projects at Humboldt University Berlin, which were carried out together with DaimlerChrysler and Bosch, among others. The main focus of his studies was organizational psychology and engineering psychology (usability).
Prior to joining CeleraOne, Michael served as product management lead for vendor commercialisation at Immobilien Scout GmbH. Michael also worked as a product manager at VZ Networks and was responsible for platform-wide solutions such as rating service, recommendation service, features for spam detection and chat service. Previously, Michael served as a member of the management board of a company, as well as key account manager and project manager for software projects. Michael started his career as SAP consultant and programmer of data transformation components in VBA and ABAP in SAP migration projects. Michael is a certified Scrum Master and Scrum Product Owner.

Prior to CeleraOne, Steffen was COO and Managing Director of Motionlogic GmbH. He designed, patented, and implemented a big data analytics solution to extract mobility insights from billions of signaling events occurring in mobile phone networks every day. Before Motionlogic, Steffen worked in various positions at Deutsche Telekom in the area of corporate development and product management. Amongst other topics, he oversaw Mobile Internet for T-Mobile in Germany, providing digital paid content such as mobile music, video, and gaming. Steffen studied in Germany and the UK and holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science.
